Come rain or shine Puddle the Duck joined crowds at the annual Duck Race

'Crowds cheered as duck race goes swimmingly in Bradford on Avon.'

There was a great turnout for the town’s annual Duck Race, which was sponsored by Puddle Ducks. Puddle the Duck and team were there early to welcome residents and visitors to Westbury Gardens, where people gathered to sponsor ducks, get the best viewing spot and to enjoy refreshments.

Puddle Ducks' hook the duck stand was popular with the little ones and everyone enjoyed having a selfie with main duck himself Puddle!

A huge cheer went up as 1,000 yellow ducks and 50 blue business sponsored ducks were tipped into the river, from the Town Bridge, as the church clock struck 12.Luckily this year, the resident swans decided to let canoe helpers share the river and be able to collect all the rubber ducks.

Did anyone see the large mother duck swimming down the Avon too?

Councilor Katie Vigar, Mayor of Bradford on Avon said: "It was wonderful to see so many people at the duck race, one of Bradford on Avon's most popular community events. Residents and visitors alike seemed to be having such a great time."

The winning duck announced on the day was Harlow Brown, who won X10 free swimming lessons with Puddle Ducks. We look forward to welcoming you and your family into the Puddle Ducks family!

Thank you to everyone who visited us on the day :)
