Abby wins our Teacher of the Term competition!

Abby wins our Teacher of the Term competition!

Every term we ask our little swimmers and their parents to vote for their favourite Teacher of the Term – to nominate the teacher that they feel has gone out of their way to make their child either feel special, progress in the water or overcome barriers to their swimming.

We are absolutely delighted once again with the huge number of nominations that we received, people really took the time to tell us why they have chosen their teachers and what they mean to them and their little ones. We would like to send out a huge thank you to everybody who sent us their nominations. All your nominations and feedback are provided to the teachers and really do mean a lot to the whole team.

We are really pleased to announce that Abby will be retaining her title and has once again been voted as our Teacher of the Term for Autumn 2017!

Nicola from Moo Music had the tough job of choosing this term’s winner from the list of anonymous nominations. She chose the nomination from Daisy Lindsay and her mummy Karin…

“My daughter Daisy Lindsay has been attending the Friday 4pm class for the past few months. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am and what a difference Abby has made to Daisy’s swimming. She lost her confidence previously due to another teacher from a different swimming school and was very unhappy attending lessons. I pulled her out the classes because I could see it was having a negative effect on her. I gave classes a rest for 6 months and we continued to swim together once a week. Her passion and love for swimming slowly returned. When I decided to try lessons again, I knew Daisy would be a little apprehensive, however from the first time Daisy entered the pool, Abby made her feel comfortable and confident. Today I witnessed Daisy swim 5 meters, I was so proud and know it has a lot to do with Abby and her ability to encourage and motivate the children in her class.”

We would like to take this opportunity to say a super duper well done to Abby, this really is well-deserved recognition of your continued hard work, proving what a fantastic job you do with all your swimmers.
