As an ex-competitive swimmer and lifeguard, swimming has always been a big part of Carolyn's life. After having her first son William, Carolyn decided to launch Puddle Ducks in the North East in 2010.
Carolyn now has over 700 Puddle Ducks customers swimming in the North East across 130 classes a week.
Dani trained as a Puddle Ducks teacher in 2013 after having her son, Joshua, and taught Baby and Preschool and Swim Academy classes for four years and was promoted to Senior Teacher.
In 2015 Dani was promoted to the position of Business Manager and she now runs the Puddle Ducks North East office and is responsible for all day to day operations of the business as well as overseeing the customer care team and managing our pool relationships.
Sam first joined us as an aquanatal customer when she was pregnant with her eldest child, Oscar in 2013. She then started working for us as a Poolside Assistant and completed her teacher training in 2016.
Sam teaches our baby and pre-school, swim academy and elite swim academy classes. Her two children Oscar and Jasmine both swim in our Swim Academy.
She is now our Head of Teaching and also teaches at Benfield, Durham Trinity and Keelmans Way.
Kiera joined our office team in 2016 after swimming with us for a number of years as a customer care executive with her son, Gray.
Kiera works in the Puddle Ducks office four days per week dealing with our marketing, your phone calls, e-mails and enquiries.
When she's not at work you might bump into Kiera at the pool watching her daughter Bronte in our swim academy classes.
Nicola starting working for us as a Poolside Assistant in 2014 then completed her teacher training the following year.
Nicola teaches baby and pre-school, Swim Academy and Elite Swim Academy.
Nicola's son, Finn, also swam with us from Baby and preschool classes right through to Swim Academy.
Nicola was promoted to Senior Teacher in 2023. Nicola teaches at Benfield, Keelmans Way and Percy Hedley.
Lisa brought her eldest son, Sam to our classes when the business first began in 2010. Lisa also attended our aquanatal classes when she was pregnant with her twins.
Lisa started working for us as a baby and pre-school teacher and more recently qualified as a Swim Academy teacher. She teaches at Keelmans Way and Beacon Hill.
Like many of our team, Kimberley first joined Puddle Ducks as a customer with her son, Thomas. Kimberley starting working for us as a Poolside Assistant in 2014 then completed her teacher training in 2016.
Kimberley now teaches our baby and pre-school classes at Keelmans Way and our Swim Academy classes at Beacon Hill and Percy Hedley on a weekend.
Rachael brought her son, Cas to our classes in 2014 and applied to become a teacher as soon as the opportunity came up!
Cas and her daughter Clara both swim with us in Swim Academy.
Rachael now teaches our swim academy classes at Percy Hedley on a weekend and is also a qualified Baby and Pre-school teacher.
Susan joined our team in Summer 2019 after deciding on a career change and re-training as a swimming teacher.
Susan has two children of her own, one of whom swims competitively.
Susan teaches our baby and pre-school classes at the Grand Hotel and Josephine Butler as well as Swim Academy at Benfield and Percy Hedley.
Anne joined Puddle Ducks in 2021 as a Poolside Assistant. Anne is now a Baby and Pre-school and Swim Academy Teacher.
Anne is also Mum to her daughter Rosie who swims with us.
Anne teaches at Percy Hedley on a Sunday
Katie qualified as a Baby Pre-school in 2024 and teaches at Percy Hedley on a Saturday.
Katie is also a competitive swimmer competing nationally.
Jemma is our Senior Teacher in Tees Valley, she has been with us since 2019. She teaches at Leonardo Hotel and High Tunstall School.
When she isn't at work Jemma is a busy Mum to her girls!
Jess joined us in 2021 as a Poolside Assistant, she then did her teacher training in 2023 and is now teaches Swim Academy at High Tunstall School and Leonardo Hotel.
