We can’t wait to welcome you to Puddle Ducks Swim Academy at Chichester Lakeside Holiday Park – in the meantime, here’s some information that we hope you find useful. Have a splashtastic time!
Location: Chichester Lakeside Holiday Park
Parking:
- There is ample FREE parking in the main car park.
- Puddle Ducks Swim Academy customers should park as close to the pool building as possible; there will be signs to direct you to the pool. There is overflow car parking at the main entrance of the Holiday Park.
Essential Information:
- Outdoor footwear is not allowed on the pool hall at this venue. Access to the pool hall is via the changing rooms only.
- Your child will be asked to shower using one of the showers poolside before entering the pool.
- Consistent with most swimming pools - no food or drink to is to be consumed in any of the pool buildings including the changing rooms. Please can we also make you are aware that all of our venues are nut free as we do have some customers with known allergies.
- All children are required to wear a swim hat for Puddle Ducks Swim Academy classes. We have fabric Swim Academy hats that your child will be issued with at the pool at their first class.

Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks has exclusive use of the pool during our lessons.
Changing rooms:
- There are unisex changing facilites with individual cubicles for private changing and toilets.
- There are lockers in the changing rooms. We recommend bringing a large bag to store all swimmer clothing poolside should there not be a locker avialble.
- There are lovely warm water showers poolside for use before and after classes.
Spectators:
- We do not allow spectators poolside at this venue except on nominated viewing weeks (which will include the first week any new swimmer joins us), but there is a lovely sun deck which has both an open air and covered section for parents and siblings to relax while classes take place.
- There is also a lovely large cafe and bar area which serves food and drinks while your child's class takes place.
Your swimming child is also welcome to join you for an after-swim snack and drink in the cafe / bar.
Poolside Assistant: A Poolside Assistant is present at key times of the year during our Swim Academy sessions.
Technical information:
- Pool temperature: 29°C-31°C.
- Depth: 1.2 metres uniform depth throughout the pool.
- Safe Steps are provided for Level 1 and Level 2 swimmers so that they are always able to be above water level.
- Maximum class ratios:
- Up to 4 children per teacher (who will be in the water with them) Swim Academy Levels 1 & 2
- Up to 8 children per teacher (who will be teaching from the side) Swim Academy Levels 3 & 4
- Pool water treatment: Chlorine
