Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath is celebrate the success of their fundraiser

Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath is celebrating the success of their fundraiser for Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.

A firm fixture in their calendar, this year marked their 10th year being involved in the campaign supporting the Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Caring for 140,000 patients each year from across the South-West and South-Wales, babies, children and young adults with highly complex medical conditions are cared for around-the-clock by extraordinary staff.

The Grand Appeal supports the hospital by providing family accommodation; medical research; equipment; play, art and music therapy; art enhancements and new facilities like The Grand Appeal's Patient Hotel. The Patient Hotel, which has just received planning permission, will be a brand new, groundbreaking facility that allows sick children to finish their treatment in a home-from-home alongside their family instead of a hospital bed.

Marking their 10th year raising money for the charity, Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath were delighted to exceed previous fundraising targets, this year raising £575 from their customers, team, family and friends, bringing their total raised over the last 10 years to over £7,000.

Commenting on the success of this year’s appeal, Sarah Austin, Owner of Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath said: “This year we donated Easter eggs and crafts for children spending time in hospital over the Easter holidays. Puddle the Duck also visited the wards, putting a smile on the children’s faces. It’s truly an honour to be involved in such a wonderful campaign”.
